Duo-Gate® is an emergency opening that can be opened vertically. The main areas of application are roads where the lanes are separated by a central reservation. Tunnel portals on motorways are a classic example for the application of Duo-Gate®. When closed, the barrier meets the containment level H2 required on motorways, but it can be opened quickly in the event of an accident in the tunnel, thus enabling emergency services such as the police and fire brigade to quickly change lanes.
